New setting, maps and more coming to Warface today as players continue to join the front line
Crytek's all-action first-person shooter, Warface, is making a big impact with gamers on Steam, with one million players having already downloaded it less than a month after launch.
Released through Steam on July 1st, 2014, the game's blend of cooperative and competitive action has proved a big hit, with regular new content and a wealth of game modes – all available for free – setting it apart from the crowd. The influx of new players means Warface now has over 30 million registered users worldwide.
Today also brings an exciting update to the game, with a new setting, maps and more arriving. Players in Western territories will be the first to experience the new Nevada environment, which launches with a fresh Team Deathmatch map set in a trailer park turned warzone. Inspired by feedback from players, the Team Deathmatch map is just one of several planned for the new Nevada setting.
Warface features four distinct soldier classes, and places a special emphasis on teamwork as players unite to tackle Co-op missions all over the world. In Versus mode, players pick a side and choose to represent the rival forces of Blackwood or Warface in one of six game modes, including Team Death Match, Plant the Bomb, Free for All and more.
