Crytek's Roman epic honored with awards for Best Technical Achievement and more
Ryse: Son of Rome was a big winner in Cologne last night, picking up three coveted trophies at the 2014 German Developer Awards (Deutscher Entwicklerpreis).
Ryse overcame strong opposition to earn top spot in the Best Graphics, Best Sound and Best Technical Achievement categories – adding to the multiple awards the game has already been honored with since its release.
The German Developer Awards celebrate the best games developed within the country, and have been running since 2004. Previous Crytek games have enjoyed major success at the ceremony too, with the Crysis Series and original Far Cry accumulating 14 awards between them since the event's inception. The judging panel has also recognized CRYENGINE as Best Game Technology on two of the three occasions the award was given out (2004, 2011).
Ryse continues Crytek's rich run of form at the German Developer Awards, with all three award wins highlighting the undiminished power of CRYENGINE to create groundbreaking games that stand out from the crowd.
Available for PC and Xbox One, Ryse: Son of Rome charts the journey of Roman soldier Marius Titus as he embarks on a quest for revenge that leads him to the furthest reaches of the Empire and to the heart of a captivating drama.
