Crytek's Renderdoc Software Open Sourced

Further involving the community in its development, Crytek today released the complete source code for its Renderdoc™ graphics debugger under a free open source license.

Further involving the community in its development, Crytek today released the complete source code for its Renderdoc™ graphics debugger under a free open source license.

Since its release in late February, Renderdoc has been warmly welcomed by developers everywhere, and has been improved and guided by community feedback and bug reports. By open sourcing development of the debugger, Crytek hope the community will get even more involved in this process and make changes and improvements directly.

The source release is covered by the open source MIT license, and everyone has complete freedom to download, build and modify Renderdoc. Development and official releases will continue from within Crytek, but in future this will include contributions from others.

The source is available via the official Renderdoc github repository, which contains details on how to obtain the source to build Renderdoc. https://github.com/baldurk/renderdoc
