Today, September 18th 2024, Crytek brings back the reimagined Stillwater Bayou map to Hunt: Showdown 1896. The swamp biome has been significantly upgraded and reworked to offer a more immersive and challenging environment, revitalized with the power of CRYENGINE 5.11. Various enhancements have been made for improvements in visuals and beyond according to community feedback, from map readability to lighting and details across compounds, including new paths, windows, doors, and strategic access points which encourage dynamic gameplay. The update is a true next generation upgrade to the classic bayou environment!

Hunt: Showdown 1896 is the new era of the competitive first-person bounty hunting game, packing the thrill of survival and the reward of profit into a horror match-based format. Set in 1896, the game boasts a mixture of PvP and PvE elements that create a uniquely tense experience. It's not just the monsters who are a threat—it's every Hunter on the map.
