In 1999 Crytek was founded by the three brothers Avni, Cevat and Faruk Yerli. Since then, Crytek has released three award winning and internationally successful games, namely Far Cry, Crysis and Crysis Warhead, moved its headquarters to Frankfurt am Main, built up a studio network consisting of six locations (Frankfurt, Kiev, Budapest, Sofia, Seoul and Nottingham) and has released the third version of its proprietary CryENGINE "® technology and today employs more than 500 people.
